The Osthaus Museum Hagen will be showing recent paintings by the Wuppertal painter, Peter Schmersal. Among them are primarily those works that are dedicated to the image of man.
Born in Wuppertal in 1952, Peter Schmersal is known for his landscapes, flowers, still lifes, nudes and portraits. These motifs are sometimes varied and thereby obtain new perspectives, which can also lead to a completely new image. The portraits take center stage in the exhibition.
The exhibition will be accompanied by a catalog published together with KUNSTHALLE VIERSEN (German / English) with text by Tayfun Belgin and a discussion between Peter Schmersal and Raimund Stecker.
