Coinciding with Photo London 2016, Peckham 24 is a 24 hour festival of contemporary photography and video art. Peckham based artists and galleries have joined forces to showcase new work in the Bussey Building, a space at the heart of Peckham's creative community. The festival officially starts at 6pm on Friday 20th May and includes a programme of artist talks, workshops and exhibition tours.
Tom Lovelace will present Gardening as part of the event; a selection of photographs made between 2014 – 2016, across the regions of the Engadin Valley, Switzerland, Lacock Abbey, Wiltshire and London, a place where Lovelace has been based since 2003. The landscape as a sculptural and performative site is central to this display, with the transformation of utilitarian objects, processes and materials remaining at the heart of Lovelace’s work. The artist's display will be available to view throughout Photo London, 19 - 22 May.
