Jiro Osuga was born in Tokyo and grew up in Japan and the UK. He
studied fine arts at St Martins, Chelsea and the Royal College of
Art. He now lives and works in London.
Osuga casts a critical eye over every aspect of contemporary
life - from manhole covers to museums, cafes and train stations.
The results are often humorous and exuberant. Recent exhibitions
include: Queens Terrace Cafe, the Japanese Embassy in London, the Charles B Wang Center in New York and
the Streatham Festival.
