Tai Shan Schierenberg featured in the Evening Standard's Londoner’s Diary
Artist Tai Shan Schierenberg reflects on fond memories of painting The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh:
“The Queen was fun. Totally disinterested in the portrait. I think for her it was just a relief to ... sit down for a bit,” says the artist, who has a show at the Flowers Gallery.
“The Duke of Edinburgh was fierce but he was incredibly good looking ... beautiful eyes, hands like shovels. He was also incredibly prickly, but he showed me his watercolours.”
