After a successful Scottish premiere at Glasgow Film Festival, Prophecy will receive its international premiere at Hot Docs, North America’s largest documentary festival. Hot Docs offers an outstanding selection of over 200 films from Canada and around the world to Toronto audiences of more than 200,000.

From the initial mounting of the canvas to every stroke of the paintbrush and even the eventual sale of the artwork, Prophecy follows the meticulous process of Scottish artist Peter Howson as he brings to life his epic oil painting of the same name. 

The 2019 Hot Docs Festival will run April 25 to May 5, 2019.
