Created in 1988 to mark the centenary of the birth of Jean Monnet, the European Literature Cognac Show works to promote European literature and create a dialogue between writers and the public. The event takes place every year on the third weekend in November, from Thursday to Sunday. During the festival visitors can meet authors and engage in debates, listen to live readings and visit exhibitions and screenings. Flowers Gallery artist Glen Baxter will take part in this year’s event. Baxter is known for his surreal and absurd drawings and has published cartoons in press and comics, including the French newspaper Le Monde.
