Esther Teichmann - In Conversation with Emma Wilson

Flowers Gallery invites you to an afternoon of readings and conversation with artist Esther Teichmann and Professor Emma Wilson on the theme of affect, memory, the senses, love and desire.

The event takes place on the last day of Esther Teichmann’s solo exhibition On Sleeping and Drowning at Flowers Gallery, Kingsland Road.

Professor of French Literature and the Visual Arts at the University of Cambridge, Emma Wilson's research interests include the still and moving image, gender, sexuality, love and desire. She has written extensively on  female filmmakers and the uses of cinema in response to loss and pain. Monographs include Love, Mortality and the Moving Image and the forthcoming The Reclining Nude about contemporary women filmmakers and photographers working in Paris, including Agnès Varda, Catherine Breillat and Nan Goldin.
