Paying homage to the sprawling landscape of Western Australia and, more specifically, Australian Minescapes, Flowers Gallery will present a photographic series by Edward Burtynsky, offering a look at the artist's longstanding engagement with sites of extraction and the evolving landscapes they shape. Here, Burtynsky further documents the accelerating pace of mineral extraction in the region, allowing us to witness the global shift toward electrification at the heart of Western Australia: aluminium, nickel, and silver. These aren't just photographs that contradict time itself, but also urgent meditations on a future yet to be set in stone.
