In Conversation: Nadav Kander, David Campany and Iain Sinclair

To coincide with the current exhibition Dark Line - The Thames Estuary, Flowers Gallery will host a discussion between photographer Nadav Kander, writer and curator David Campany, and author Iain Sinclair.

Join us on Thursday 7th December 6-8PM at Flowers Gallery, 82 Kingsland Road, London, E2 8DP.

Nadav Kander lives and works in London. His current exhibition, Dark Line - The Thames Estuary, is a personal reflection on the landscape of the River Thames at its point of connection with the sea. Past projects include Yangtze – The Long River, winner of the Prix Pictet award in 2009 and Dust, which explored the vestiges of the Cold War through the radioactive ruins of secret cities. Kander's work is included in several public collections including National Portrait Gallery, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Photography, Chicago, USA. He has exhibited worldwide at venues such as the Palais de Tokyo, Paris; the Herzilya Museum of Contemporary Art, Israel and the Musée de l'Elysée, Lausanne.

David Campany is the author of several books including Art and Photography, Jeff Wall: Picture for Women, and Photography and Cinema. His recent curated exhibitions include A Handful of Dust, presented at the Whitechapel Gallery, London. 

Iain Sinclair has lived in Hackney since 1969. His books include Downriver, Lights out for the Territory, London Orbital and Edge of the Orison. Recent publications are Hackney, That Rose-Red Empire and American Smoke. His new book The Last London was published by Oneworld in September 2017.
