The energetic colours of Blind Spot (2012) show the artist in a scarlet stripy sweater against complementary tones of the turquoise background. Her head is turned to the right with a grey thick stripe smeared across her right eye, covering her glasses and cheek. With her vision obstructed, Jones shows a somber recognition that there are unavoidably crude, painful gaps in her understanding of herself.
