Wearable Art by Andrew Logan
Overview
2022 marked the 50th anniversary of Alternative Miss World, a spectacular event conceived by Andrew Logan that celebrates transformation, creativity and beauty, going beyond gender, age, race and sexuality through performance art, pageantry, and sculpture. Taking place at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre in London on 28th October 2022, the theme was Gold. Since its inception in 1972, the show has become “a beacon of glittering light, attracting artists, performers, and misfits of all kind” - including members of Flowers Gallery’s own team.
Andrew Logan discusses his life, work and practice on the Talk Art Podcast, March 2024.
Here we highlight the joy and beauty of Logan’s sculpture and wearable art.
