The three-plate colour etching with chine colle was printed in 2003 with Pete Kosowicz of Thumbprint Editions. The title Lucrezia B. (Dusk) is inspired by Lucrezia Borgia, a noblewoman who lived in Renaissance Italy and who became known for her lifestyle of legendary debauchery. Part of the same series is the etching Rodrigo B., a complementary portrait inspired by Lucrezia's father Rodrigo Borgia, a scheming nobleman who became Pope Alexander VI in 1492.
Etching with chine-collé is a printmaking technique where a thin decorative paper is bonded to a thicker backing paper during the printing process, allowing the etched image to be printed and adhered in one step.
