Aleah Chapin included in 'One Billion Rising' charity exhibition

We are pleased to reveal that work by Flowers Gallery artist Aleah Chapin will be included in One Billion Rising, a National Juried Art Exhibition organised in reaction to startling statistics around violence against women. One in three women, an estimated one billion in total, will be physically abused in her lifetime. Polk State College has called for artists to submit work which exposes both violence and it's overcoming, creating a collection which explores 'struggle, empowerment and victory'. The exhibition will feature artwork by professional artists alongside emerging creative talent studying at the college and interested in supporting Women's rights. The collection will be on display 3rd - 20th February, 2014 and all proceeds will be donated to the Women's Resource Centre and Peace River Centre.

View Aleah Chapin's work at the Flowers Gallery stand at the Wynwood Art Fair in Miami 13th - 17th February, 2014. For more information on the artist and her past exhibitions with Flowers, please click here.
