Jane Edden: Fleeting Site commission by the Environment Agency
The detailed vascular structures of the wings of the Green Drake Mayfly and the Common Darter Dragonfly that are native to the chalk stream of the River Avon which flows through Salisbury, have been cut into weathering steel to create ‘Fleeting’ a landmark and permanent installation by Jane Edden that sits at the centre of the new River Park.
Working with the Environment Agency and Studio Response on this commission Jane Edden has created a new landmark for this award winning project.
Salisbury River Park’s project took a holistic approach, transforming an essential flood-risk project into nature conservation and urban regeneration and has just become a double winner in the British Construction Industry Awards, winning the Placemaking and Environmental Project Awards for 2026.
