Robin Hood: The Arts of Occupation Book Launch
Join us for an evening of poetry, conversation and a workshop to celebrate the launch of Robin Hood: The Arts of Occupation - a publication made as a part of the V&A: Storehouse’s co-production project for Robin Hood Gardens. The evening will feature performances and talks from Mara Ahmed, Sam Elbahja, Sophie Mably and Ikram Chowdhury with David Hepher. Produced by Free Form World.
Robin Hood: The Arts of Occupation is a V&A East publication, developed by the V&A East Robin Hood Young Producers. The project explores the history and communities of the now-demolished Robin Hood Gardens in Poplar, London, drawing on the Robin Hood legend as a lens through which to examine themes of social housing, gentrification, and belonging.
Edited by Ikram Chowdhury, the publication brings together personal narratives—poetry, stories, artworks, interviews, recipes, and reflections—from former residents.
All proceeds going towards supporting the Robin Hood Young Producers. Purchase your copy here.
