Working with unique and revisited frames around paintings, Rob Wyn Yates (b. 1976) is based in Suffolk. This approach creates finished works conceived through the relationship between painting and frame, with each element integral to the final piece. Yates' practice sits somewhere between art and design, though the term painter is preferred to describe the working philosophy. Inspiration comes from real and imagined narratives, which are reinterpreted into visual representations that translate three dimensions into two.
