London-based, Krakow-born Karolina Albricht (b. 1983) sees painting as an opening into a world that can be felt and intuited, creating spatial environments that engage what she calls whole-body intelligence. Her work investigates the interplay of colour, shape, line, and surface, and how these elements respond to one another and to the edges of the painting, with an interest in how movement through space and time can be translated onto the pictorial plane.
