Born and raised in Brazil, Gabriela Max (b. 1992) is based at TKE Studios in Margate and is currently enrolled in Turps Banana (2025-26). Her work entwines a relationship between humans, animals, and the environment, expressing her belief in the foundation of nature. Raised without access to museums or art schools, Max discovered her passion for painting through nature. Immersed in the landscape, she developed a fascination with colour, texture, and light.
