The 2025 series Undercurrent by Kristin Man resembles telescopic images of celestial bodies. The works were created using a device resembling a microscope and explore the link between inner and cosmic consciousness. In 2023, Man worked with a neuroscience lab to record the electrical activity of her brain during meditation, which is embedded in the artworks.
Kristin Man is an interdisciplinary artist connecting cultures, mediums, and the human and natural world. Her work examines artificial boundaries of identity and belonging, reimagining them as sites of potential unity.
