Katie Mawson (b. 1963) creates artworks from damaged hardback second-hand books. She values the worn book cloths, whose marks of use and age reveal each book's history. These weathered surfaces become both palette and canvas, reborn as unique works of art. Mawson arranges fragments of cloth to balance colour, texture, and shape, allowing compositions to evolve organically.
