Now living in southern Germany, Heidrun Rathgeb (b. 1967) studied painting in London at the Slade School of Fine Art and the Byam Shaw School of Art. Her work is based on experiences of specific moments in daily life, incessantly capturing her surrounding environments.
Cafe Campelo Monti was inspired by a hike through the Piedmont Alps, where Rathgeb stopped to have a coffee in a small village called Campello Monti.
