Now living in southern Germany, Heidrun Rathgeb (b. 1967) studied painting in London at the Slade School of Fine Art and the Byam Shaw School of Art. Her work is based on experiences of specific moments in daily life, incessantly capturing her surrounding environments. Inspired by a hike through the windswept wild nature of Hardanger Vidda in Norway, Cocoon depicts Rathgeb's green tent within a vast and vacant landscape.
