Edinburgh-based Renny Tait (b. 1965) is renowned for distilling iconic historical and cultural landmarks to their bare geometry. Tait began his career as an abstract painter, and still approaches his work with an abstract artist's mentality, creating reductive paintings of cities and buildings to emphasise the intrinsic form.
