Overview
As part of the launch for Planet Jiro, Flowers Gallery will auction a diverse selection of Jiro Osuga's paintings, with prices starting at a percentage of their retail value. The catalogue of works to be auctioned is available to view here.
Conditions of the auction
1. Works are available to view prior to the auction from the 19 April Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 6pm.
2. Artworks to be auctioned may be purchased at retail price throughout the duration of the exhibition.
3. Absentee and telephone bids will be accepted. All absentee bids must be submitted by 6pm on 9th May. To submit a bid please contact the gallery on 020 7439 7777.
4. Unlike conventional auctions there will be no buyers premium or VAT or artists resale royalty leveed on the hammer prices.
A large projection of his new interactive site will be on view throughout the show enabling the viewer to experience the website while surrounded by his work.
Exhibition continues until 11 May after which all purchased lots will be available for collection. We look forward to seeing you at the auction.
Built by Jiro himself, Planet Jiro immerses the visitor into a new and unexpected exploratory method of using the web. Frustrated by constantly encountering insurmountable and all too familiar formats to view artwork online, Osuga saw a potential in the World Wide Web as a medium to innovate a purely visual and interactive way of navigation.
