Skogar is an on-going series of photographs by Korean Artist Boomoon. It is named after a place in Iceland known for it's waterfall Skogafoss, which the artist has become familiar with, through his repeated visits since early 2007. However, it is in June 2015 that a crucial experience initiated this new body of work. The Skogar series is produced in three different forms: photographic prints, an over-sized artist book and a video compiling three hundred images.

This book aims to share reflections on Skogar in a handy format. It displays eighteen images selected by the artist, along with essays with authors who have been in conversation with Boomoon's work for more than a decade. An essay, Falling Ceaselessly Falling by Shino Kuraishi, a poet and Professor of History of Photography at Meiji University, Tokyo and Kawasaki, Japan. Encounters and Phenomena by Catherine Grout, Professor of Aesthetics at the Ecole Nationale Superieure de l'Architecture et du Paysage, Lille, France. Catherine's expertise lies in the question of landscape and urban environment in contemporary art practices. Both essays are presented in their original language, respectively Japanese and French, with translations in English and Korean.
