Lorenzo Vitturi creates Unseen 2014 Campaign
20 June 2014
We are thrilled to announce that Flowers artist Lorenzo Vitturi has been selected to create the Unseen Photography Festival 2014 campaign! Using the symbol of the eye to demonstrate the Unseen concept, Lorenzo arranged found materials and organic produce into a sculpture. The resulting photographs document the different stages of the sculpture's construction, a process that will be completed at the festival as a large-scale installation. Lorenzo's work can be seen on the Unseen website and advertisements across Amsterdam.
"This year, we invited Lorenzo Vitturi to create a vibrant and explosive campaign. Vitturi is part of a new generation of photographers using the medium more broadly by documenting his installations through photography. We look forward to seeing the final result of our collaboration, the site-specific installation, at Unseen" Pjotr de Jong, Unseen board member and creative director at Vandejong
"I have been given the opportunity to develop a complete project, making the most of the multidisciplinary approach present in my work. Usually, a print campaign is just a series of images. At Unseen, it has become a proper art project. For this reason, I am really happy to have worked with Unseen" Lorenzo Vitturi
