Overview

For Paris Photo 2015, Flowers Gallery will mount a group exhibition, bringing together new works that blur the intersection between observed reality, constructed photography, appropriation and found objects. From the sculptural to the sociological, this is a cross section of works that encourages wanderings across modes of photographic practice.

A new exhibitor sector PRISMS will launch in the Salon d’Honneur on the first floor of the Grand Palais. This year, the collection will focus on exceptional large format and serial works. Flowers Gallery will present a ten metre long photographic print from Boomoon’s Sansu series. (Booth SH11)

We will also host a joint book signing event for Jason Larkin and Tom Lovelace at booth C03 on Friday 13th November at 3pm.

While living in Johannesburg, Jason Larkin was struck by the ever-present reality of people waiting. Inactive yet expectant, this condition becomes a visual echo of the predicament that many South Africans can find themselves in. Waiting has been published by Fourthwall Books and Photoworks.

This Way Up, Lovelace's second published book, has been made in response to his recent solo exhibition of the same title at Flowers Gallery, earlier this year. The book pivots on a newly commissioned essay by Rye Dag Holmboe and presents unseen images from his recent development of work. Designed by Ben Mclaughlin.

Thursday 12th: 12 - 8pm
Friday 13th: 12 - 8pm
Saturday 14th: 12 - 8pm
Sunday 15th: 12 - 7pm
